Were is the 2.0 version for Canada? Only purchased this because of the 2.0 version.

IThe best navigation software on the App Store I would say. The fact that I like most about this app, is that it works perfectly with force over. Theres not many navigation software is out there, that actually work very well with voice over and dont stop you from navigating around where you need to go. The built-in maps application is not very good when it comes to navigation, but navigating is perfect use voice over, and navigating is the only navigation software that I have found that works perfectly with voice over. I believe navigating should offer a demo for those users for not 100% sure if they would like to buy this software with online maps or something of the sort just so any user could try out voice over and make sure that everything works perfectly

But where is the version 2.0 for Navigon Canada ? Please provide us the newer version we all want it !! Awaiting the update soon...

I hardly recommend you come on Tom Tom GPS not this navigator I used both for long time in Canada

ive used tomtom, garmin, and now navigon. good: -lets you enter JUST THE POSTAL CODE as address!! (none of the other gps apps let you do this!!!) -lets you enter the intersections of two streets as your destination. -user interface is easy (garmin is easier, tomtom is HARD) -female voice is pleasant bad: -maps are NOT as accurate as tomtom (my destinations are often off by 5 houses in navigon but SPOT ON in tomtom) -only 2 voices available and both are American accent. if you want british, too bad. also reads street names extremely "robotic"

You have to pay for upgrade. They dont tell you what the charges are and you cant use the app if you dont except the charges

Please fix the female voice or put the old one back

November 26 update: the new 2.0 version does not fix the bugs I saw in the previous version. Travel estimates are still way underestimated. My commute to work is always 50-60 minutes and it tells me it will take 20. If I turn the volume down on my phone Navigon turns it down on the app but when I turn it up on the phone the volume stays down on the app. I still get routed onto congested highways even though I bought the live traffic addon. And now they are charging for map updates. Are you kidding me? Do yourself a favour and buy Tom Tom. At least their developers listen to their customers! Downgrading my rating again for this disappointing version Original Review: I really liked the MobileX app for GPS but could not justify the yearly voice guidance costs and got Navigon instead. Overall I am pleased but a few glaring drawbacks / areas of improvements. One is the horribly inaccurate travel estimates. It is optimistic at best. Second, the route choices with the three colours is confusing. With no available manual, I have no idea which route is best. My final concern is that it may decide on a route which you know is not efficient. Today I was about to be routed onto a totally congested highway that I saw wasnt moving when I went over the overpass before my turn. And this was with the additional purchase of live traffic, which I am wondering was worth the money. All that being said, however, the menu system is clean and simple, not cluttered like MobileX. The maps are beautiful, clear, and the fact that the whole Canadian map system was downloaded to my phone is a huge plus, as long as saving data transmissions go. I also like the ease of finding points of interest and how the "take me home" option is on the main menu. The text to speech is ok, I think MobileX was better. Some of the other options I like are Google search integration and display of driving speed. But i would like to see them fix the inaccurate time estimates, improve traffic integration and maybe provide a downloadable user manual. October 31 update: they need to update this soon. I have now used it for a few months and the time estimates are still way off. Totally underestimates the time. Also live traffic doesnt automatically turn back on after GPS signal lost. Searching for places has proven tedious as i have to drill down several categories before i am able to type the name. If you turn the volume down om your iphone the volume naturally goes down in the app. However, when the volume is increased on the phone, the in app volume remains on the lowest setting and needs to be manually adjusted in the options inside the app or you will not hear voice guidance. And 3 months of regular use i still get routed onto congested routes which i am stuck on. I hope to see these problems addressed soon. We pay way too much for this app for updates to be this infrequent. I am downgrading to 2 stars due to lack of updates

I work in a delivery company and i use navigon 70 to 80 times a day! Pretty accurate and fast! Plus the new interface is slick and easier to work with! Only one down side is the maps that are a littlr outdated, i cant find streets that are 1 year old. Have to rely on google maps for these! That being said its a good gps i recommend it!

Does what it says and it does it well. Great deal for $29.99! Works on the iPad 3G as well!

I paid full price when map updates were free, and now Garmin has totally changed their product and ripped me off. I will not buy into the subscription model because even if I okay with having to pay for a product I have already paid for, I do not believe Garmin can be trusted to keep their word about how many updated they will provide from here on out. Whats stopping them from turning your two year subscription into a one time only update... kind of like how they just did that to existing customers with this change of terms. Stay far far away from this app and this company.

I bought this app and it works ok for me,not sure what the other people are referring to when they say it doesnt work.I have used it in Vancouver and had no problem,used it Edmonton and no problem.My wife and I traveled through the interior of BC and had no problem.I am how in Vietnam and wished Navigon was mapping out for asia as I think they have proved themselves with me.I tried NAVfone Vitenam GPS Navigation and it is junk

By far the easiest and best GPS for your dollar for those who know how to use it ;p

The live traffic option is not working anore since last update and Garmin takes no effort in correcting the case! Routing is comparing with TomTom way less efficient.. Would not be the support issue this app would deserve a much better rating of 4 stars.

This is app that other companies could use as milestone. Only digestion I would add is to enable phone control while using GPS. I found it not user friendly trying to use GPS, talk on the phone and drive at the same time. Also turn by turn should be muted when using phone.

Got us all over southern Ontario during our summer holiday in the big city and the country, and gets us around the Maritimes just fine. Easy to use driving once we got the hang of it. We struggled to prop the iPad in the car until we discovered that Navigon on the smaller iPhone works just as well. I dont find it quite so handy walking.

This app is a complete waste of money! Good luck trying to I put locations has a mind if its own. Good luck trying to find places. As I write this all we r trying to locate a place that should be soooo easy to navigate to. Just terrible!! I will be demanding a refund from apple

Public transportation. Unfortunately this app does not properly use the time schedule, for train or bus. Hence it propose route when that train or specific bus do not run at the time or that day. Exemple: for a 34km ride it ask me to walk 4.2km while this Montreal route is fully covered by the bus. This new version is still unusable for public transportation around Montreal.

I have this app and I am thoroughly pleased with this GPS. The voice turn by turn instructions are superb! No need to watch screen so you can keep your eyes on the road.

Best GPS app on App Store! Suggestions: Would be nice to integrate with iCal and Siri. i.e: "Drive me to my first meeting". Traffic info is not reliable at all please fix. When you reach designated road, you should remind the address number, which is currently not the case. Also add Canada speed cams!
